I've been trying to install the latest version for the Pronto 2000 on my laptop which runs Win Pro 2000. Everytime I try to open up the program I get a message that says "None or Invalid pronto.ini file". It then quicks disappears and shuts down the program before the welcome screen opens up. I've tried reloading (and uninstalling) several times from both the CD and from website downloads. Help!

Do you have Windows 2000 Pro installed to a directory other than C:\WINNT ?
If so you'll need to manually copy the ini file into 2000's boot directory.....

This can happen if you install different versions of ProntoEdit.
Either
- delete pronto.ini then reinstall ProntoEdit
or
- download ProntoIni Workshop which will add the missing line
Beemer, it goes in the system directory, not the boot directory; and the problem actually is that the Pronto.ini already there is newer than the one in the install kit (because it was edited), and so it does not get replaced.
