When I go to assign an Alias and look down the list I now see all kinds of strange symbols (*,$,',etc) instead of the univesal PLAY,REWIND,FF etc sysmbols. When I go to creat a new button and the sysbols are there but they do not show up in the ALIAS area. Anybody know what the heck is going on?
I have read throgh the forum and can not find anything relating to this problem. I am tunning windows 98, Prontoedit 2.0.

Mike,
Thanks for the reference to the answer. I feel a little silly that I didn’t find the answer in the FAQ, but I am a little new to all of this and all of the information is a little bit overwhelming. Thanks again. But now I am now sure how to get a hold of an old version of COMCTL32 since I just upgraded to IE 6.0.

I found the COMCTL32 file and replaced the newer version with it. When I boot up I get a message from Windows warning me that I am running an older version of the COMCTL32 file but lets me continue to boot. I have not seen any problems from it so far. Not even in IE 6.0 so far.
Thanks again for your help.
