I want the hard buttons to only control the volume on the Sony receiver no matter which device is on the touchscreen. Does someone have a way to do this? I hate having to go back to the receiver screen just to change the volume. Thanks for the help.

PS This is the coolest toy I've had in years!!! It even controls my daughters Furby!!!

Program the hard buttons under System Properties.

Also, make sure the same hard button is not programmed under a specific device properties, otherwise it will override the system setting.

...it says here...!!

That's the theory, but I had to program the hard buttons device by device so that only the receiver volume changed with each device, because, no matter how much I made sure that there was no programming under any specific device, and that the home system properties had the receiver for volume, it just didn't work that way.

If it doesn't work the way Peter says (which is the way it is supposed to work) there is no other alternative but to program the receiver for the hard button volume for each device--one by one. Really tedious.

Way to go, TH. You made the big breakthrough, wherein you discovered that getting your feet wet doesn't mean you are going to drown.
