does anyone have a dishplayer 501 system and use the prontopro to work it. My question is the remote is UHF/IR wondering if the remote will work it being only an IR remote

The ProntoPro can only learn/transmit IR codes (though it can be used in different rooms using the RF Extender accessory). The Dish 501 is able to be used with the ProntoPro. Randy www.RRDeals.com

never mind found out what it means but why cant you point the remote at the pronto and make it learn the power button that way?

found in the file section downloads for dish 501 that says part of a complete system ccf file is that what i need to make the dish 501 work with this remote?
