Darn it, Everything went as planned and my ccf looks good and works too but the LCD screen will expand on me. To be more specific the icons grow twice as large and the icons themselves have vertical spaces between them (part of what is displayed on the pronto screen followed by a vertical line then another part of what is being displayed on the screen)therefore the screen becomes unreadable. Please don't tell me my LCD screen is faulty.

Things to try: - download a fresh copy of the firmware - leave batteries out for at least 8 hours

for the most part i have no problem but once in awhile my screen goes )(&*(@^ almost as if the Pronto loses sync with my ccf leaving me scrambling as to what to do (no total fix yet), any other suggestions or does anyone else have a similar problem with their TS 1000?

Serge,
Did you try a hard reset (button located at the back of the Pronto), when this happens? Also, out of curiosity, does your TS-1000 has the light sensor?
Thanks again for the info on your other post!

yes, my TS 1000 does have a light sensor, does this have anything to do with it?

1)i tried a new firmware upgrade, 2)leaving the batteries out, 3)redownloading my ccf 4)and ressetting the Pronto, but the LCD screen still intermitently expands on me or zooms in to a third of the ccf presently being displayed on the screen, should i just return it and get a new one? I searched the archives and only found one post pertaining to this same problem.
Regardless, i just purchased one of the better remotes on the market and i INSIST that there be no quirks with my Pronto. This Pronto LCD screen that goes faulty then reverts back to normal is what i would call a major quirk. I'll keep trying to fix it but i have done enough work with my ccf and all that i want to start enjoying my Pronto rather than spent my time problemsolving issues! Again, if someone has had a similar problem please let me know how this can be resolved.
