Anyone know if J&R are still lowering prices when mentioning this "flyer"? (Anyone know the store to mention, or was it J&R itself?) What was the price stated there? $125?

I got mine for 129.99, I simply said I saw it in a flyer for 129.99. He didn't ask me what flyer, or when. If I were you I would just say that you saw a friend's J&R Flyer and the price was 129.99. I had no problem with this a week and a half ago. Twenty bucks is twenty bucks!

Ok, my J&R refurbie Pronto and charger finally came from their new batch. The remote was in a white box wrapped in bubble wrap and included the warranty card, instruction manual, and data cable. There is a sticker on the back that says "Renewed by Philips." The remote looked new and was squeaky clean. Popped in some batteries and the remote powered up and the backlight worked. If it holds up this was a great deal for getting a Pronto and charger.

I am sending back a pronto ts-1000 because the backlight will not come on. It working on the hard keys on the top right but the screen itself is not backlit. A sales rep told me they had no replacements for them and will not get anymore and suggested I get one of the new Jbl tc-1000. I cant remember if he said 99.00 or 199.00

Well,

i have had a plaguing LCD screen problem and am now shipping my TS 1000 to Philips for warranty purposes. Damn it, i should have just returned the remote initially. Of course the problem has worsened with time and now the remote is almost unuseable.
