I have done a search and have read some older posts syaing that there are not any discrete codes for the inputs or wide modes on the NEC Plasmasync 42MP2. I was wondering if anyone has gotten any new info, I am stumped on finding these codes (if they even exist). Thanks for any and all help.

I have also been searching for discrete on/off codes for NEC Plasmasync 42MP3. I have not been able to find them either. Hope someone can help.

You may want to look into the Celadon IR to serial adaptor. As far as I know, those commands are only available through the serial port. The Celadon piece will convert any NEC or Sony code to a pre-determined serial command.

Check out their website at: [Link: celadon.com]

I have a fully functional and TESTED CCF for ALL buttons available on the MP3 remote. Every button works. It was quite a trick to train these codes!!

I am still seeking any solution for a DISCREET set of codes to dictate a SPECIFIC video input on this display device (ie: need to be able to specifically dictate input 2, all the time)

Hi,

I have a 42MP2, the unit does work with a discrete on/off (I had to search through alot of codes to get it, though!).

ON

Regarding discrete input selection. I have not found anything that does this.

I have an A/V receiver (video switcher) on SVideo, a computer (sometimes) on RGBHV and DVD player on Component. Since there is a discrete way to access the video group, the PC group and DVD group, I have macros that set the unit up this way:

DVD macro - switch to RGBHV (which I only have one of, so it can't loop to another unit), then to component.

SVideo macro - switch to RGBHV (same as above), then to video.

Since only one video input is connected at a time, it really does discrete input selection. Obviously, I would love to have discrete access to VIDEO1, VIDEO2 and VIDEO3, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon.
