Hi there,

I do have a question concerning the contest:
In the fine print it says, I have to agree that I have
"[...] full and unrestricted ownership of all artwork,
elements, images [...]"
That means that I cannot build on my Dilbert.ccf.

Q: Will those who use Disney's and other characters
be excluded from the contest since they obviosly
do not own the rights on these characters?

BR,
TheCount

PS As already mentioned by others, I do not like the idea that Philips gets all our stuff for free. But if I get a PP in exchange... ;-)

Philips wants to see a variety of user CCF's to be available for use on the Pronto. They cannot support submissions that contain unlicensed copywrited materials, this would open them up to legal action as this is considered stealing.

You obviously can't used Disney's characters for commercial use. This contest is actually a "work-for-hire" project. You are being PAID for your .ccf, if you win.

I do have to agree that Philips will be getting what they want for a pittance in return. But, maybe that's why they are a huge company and we aren't?

Then again, we don't have to enter.

If you enter this competition, you do it because you THINK your CCF, MAY be good enough to win you a prontopro.
If you are upset about YOUR CCF being used by Philips in the future for free because it is so great, then get a job with them designing the next pronto, I'm sure you will be paid well!
Everyone here knows how Philips has-is-and is going to develop the pronto software group(by utilizing) the largest R&D department available to them(us the end user).
If this leads to better, cheaper and more useful products then I'm all for it.
And yes I will try my luck at this competition, who does not want a free Prontopro for doing something that they enjoy doing, and would do anyway for their own benifit.

I think this is the main point. Do it because you enjoy it and you'll perhaps win a prize.
