I am currently using RC5000 setup 2.1, and I have a lot of CCF files in my folder. What I'm wondering is, how do you safely update the software to version 2.2 without losing all the CCF files, custom buttons loaded into the gallery, or messing anything else up?

The only issue is if your gallery.ccf is dated older than the one included with the new software, it will be overwritten.

But it's a good idea to backup all .CCF files anyways.

Do I need to remove 2.1 before I load 2.2? Or will it update by itself?

No, overwrite. So, just install it. :-)
