AT&T broadband has updated our local system so that it will require a cable converter box for each Television. The cable box will either be a GI DTC 2000 or equivalent Motorola. Will the Pronto (1000) be able to capture the codes of the remote and will it be able to run the cable box?
The second question, I do appologize if this is to removed from this forum, is since I have to get converter boxes for our two television should I consider Dish or Direct TV?

Went all digital, eh? Yes, it'll work -- there's dozens of configurations in the file area already.
As for the cable/DSS question, that all depends on monthly pricing, how much the receivers will cost you, etc. And if you have cable internet through AT&T, they may charge you an extra fee for not also subscribing to cable TV.
