Someone has dropped my Pronto and not owned up so now i have a nice looking but ultimately busted remote. So what I wanted to know is if any other UK owners have had to get theirs fixed and if going through Philips Europe was the only way to do it. £90 repair? it only cost £150. Basically the screen doesn't show any buttons but they are still there, backlight works also leading me to think it is something to do with the contrast. Can anyone come up with any good ideas or do I have a paper weight. Love Remote Central, hate philips. stu

It sounds like the contacts from the CB to the screen have moved on the fall and that's why you get no buttons but the buttons do work (there is actually another "invisible" board on top of the LCD which is a matrix for the buttons.
If you know some electronics just open your pronto and sit it back in.
it will be a long stipped rubber sitting between teh board and the LCD.
