Can Prontoedit customize sounds for action beeps? I have searched this forum and found no reference to it. Yet, I have downloaded CCFs with custom sound files. Whats up?

Yes you can:
1) add a button
2) click on action tab
3) click on beep

a box will open asking for the frequency (note), Duty cycle ( volume) and Duration

a sequence of beeps makes a song

for some example look here [Link: remotecentral.com]

OK Anthony,

I downloaded the CCFs from the link you provided me. I see the sound CCF and I see how he used the sounds on the action tab. What I don't understand is how he got the sound buttons from the music CCF into the action tab of a different CCF. Did he have to manually type in every frequency/cycle/duration for each note? Is there a easier way? Can I merge the sound CCF and somehow link them to the beeps in the action tab?

I guess it depends what you want to do.

If all you want to do is play the tune, then merge the files or copy the buttons you want and then use an alias

If you have a long macro, and you want the music to work as a guide (macro running until music stops) then (depending on the length of the macro) it might be best to copy the music button change the icon and replace the delays by your commands.

I wold like to use music during a long macro. You instructed:

1. Copy the music button.
2. Change the icon.
3. Replace the delays by your commands.

I am think-headed and don't understand. OK, I can copy the music button. But I don't understand the last two instructions. I am unable to use any edit commands when I am in the action box.

BTW, I am not a Prontoedit pro, but I though I could get around it pretty well (after about 75 hrs invested).

Does the Macro button exist? if yes
1) open the music CCF, and do a copy of the button or the panel
2) open your CCF and pick replace
3) past the panel or the button on the panel you want
4) do an alt drag and drop of the Macro button to the music button (to make the music button have the same button design as your CCF/macro button
5) On the music buttons recreate the macro commands that existed on your macro button
6) delete the unneeded delays, and move the aliases in their place.

Thanks. Your instructions did the trick. I have even used Vince's piano to add my own tunes to my macros. What a cool addition.

I guess the next version of pronto Pro (Pronto Extreme?!) should have recordable audio - so we can put songs, MIDI files, our voice recordings ("You are now watching Fox Sports")...

All we need now is a program that breaks down WAV files into a list of beeps for pronto...

oferlaor: all you need is a CD, then the Pronto can change audio to the CD player, play the right track, and then change the chanel to fox :-)

But seriously, there was some guy who did something like that.
