Yet another newcomer to the Marantz 5000i. So far so good with amp, cd, md, cdr, DAB tuner, A/V Receiver, DVD, TV all set up and functioning. However my JVC VCR incorporates VideoPlus, whereby you set up the program details within the remote control prior to transmission. Any one any idea how to set the 5000i up so that I can get rid of the JVC remote along with all the others??
Many thanks
Mike

Yet more information on my dilema. The VCR is a JVC HR-J517EK with Video Plus. Has anyone got a work round for the remote programming for VideoPlus? Alternatively has anyone got a ccf for this VCR?
Many thanks again, Mike

I have a JVC VCR w/ Video Plus+ and I have saved the ccf in the device file on this site. The remote for my VCR doesn't load all the TV program numbers and transmits them at once (if that is what you refer to in your message). I would be surprised if that is how it works since the Video Plus+ is a licensed solution from a third party. The screen should be a 6 digit field to enter the TV program Video Plus+ number from TV Guide, etc. If you are looking to set up the VCR to accept Video Plus+ program codes for your cable provider that is a one-time effort and doesn't need to be in your Pronto. Look at my .ccf and see if it works.

If you need help w/ the VCR set for Video Plus+ send me an email.

Many thanks for the info Matt. I have downloaded your ccf and will give it a try this evening. I'll keep you posted if I have any problems. Mike:)

There's no way to duplicate systems where you enter information on a remote's LCD screen and then transmit it in a block. You'll have to check whether your VCR supports VCR+ through its on-screen menu system, or at least has on-screen manual programming.
