Every once in while the screen back lighting will not turn itself off. It just stays on indiffently. I have to unplug the battery so that the remote can reboot. Any ideas as to what the problem is. I'm running the latest version of firmware.

Do you have the pick-up sensor enabled? If so, maybe the sensor is getting stuck in the "activate" position.
