I have 3 questions please if anyone can help

The UK 940 only has the Philips & Marantz code database, while I understand the US 2Mb version has a more extensive list of IR codes. Can I copy a US verion of the database to my Pronto? Do I just replace rcir.mdb & if so where can I get one from - if it's not in the files can someone either post it or mail it to me please

2nd question may be dumb!!. I have a Thomson 7090 VCR which has a menu on it. By using learned codes I can start the menu then using down arrow move to the next item, but then no further. I think this is because the code says "I've done that move". Is thiw where I need a discrete code or is there a work around using learned codes. The same applies to my Sony KP41DS1U TV using the screen size button. Repeated presses of the Sony remote will cycle these, but the Pronto learned code only gives the first option.

Final question - can I have access to more than 1 gallery in ProntoEdit 1.5, I'm fed up with exiting & renaming galleries !!

Thanks for all of the other good info here - the tip in FAQ about using hyperterminal saved ne taking my pronto back to Richer Sounds !!

1) No, the IR Database is on the remote

2) Have you looked in the file section? I think Tomson might use toggle bits, so if your Pronto did not learn it correctly, you would have the problem mentioned above.

3) a gallery.ccf is a CCF, open the first gallery (like a CCF) and merge in the rest of them.

Thanks Anthony
That's a real shame

About the gallery. As far as I can see when I click on Tools / Gallery, it will only open "gallery.ccf". I tried loading someone else's gallery as a configuration, merging it and the deleting the stuff I didn't want, it wouldn't save it because it was too big.By the time I got it small enough there was nothing left!!

Cheers

Peter get Prontoini from the file/utility area (on this site) use it to change the size (it will let you save larger files).

PE erases the contents of a file on your HD before it tries to save the new one, make sure you delete stuff and resave or you lost your work

Make sure you change the size back to normal after you save your gallery, or you might create CCFs that are too big for the Pronto

Also, rcir.mdb is no longer used with ProntoEdit V2 or later.
