According to Marantz UK you can fully customize the whole screen on RC5200 and RC9200.
I've added more info to my site.
I'm still waiting on some high-res images (the ones on my site are just scans from the Marantz leaflet)
I should soon have the detailed spec adn software for them too.

Daniel are you about? Did you get my email about these and the RC3200?

I assumed more of the screen would be accessible (since home... where put as hard keys) but I thought the space for the name of the L/R keys and the device ttle would not have been accessible.

The WHOLE Screen?...

As in the "Start with a blank page, thanks, but no thanks, I don't want to use ANY pre-defined HOME, DEVICE, MACRO stuff, I've got a plan here, so leave me alone" WHOLE Screen?...

THAT would be great!

By the way, Kingsley's information is available here:

Marantz RC9200
Marantz RC 5200
Marantz RC3200.

Kingsley, I wish you would have continued in the original thread.

Not the whole screen, but 25% more than the old style. So maybe 240x270 instead of 240x219.

I notice the 3200 is PC programmable. I wonder what that entails.

John-

I can see it now...

240x270 glorious pixels of wide-open space... not a HOME, DEVICE, or MACRO bar or icon in sight.

A place unencumbered by Philips-designed encumberences... virgin LCD just waiting to be de-flowered... I'll rape, pillage, program, & plunder my way across the vast (4) square inches of multi-colored liquid crystal wilderness.

I'll be in charge of my own destiny... Captain of my ship... creating my own GUI from the ground up, answering to no one, except confused clients if I screw it up.

Wow - I got a little worked up there. But seriously folks, that's how AMX and Crestron do it, and it's a great idea. Guess I'll have to settle for closer to 240x219 for now.

Actually the full screen is 240x320, ~240x270 would be what Marantz uses.

Sounds like we need a contest for a 3200/5200/9200 CCF

Also, on past Marantz models, this one probably won't have the 500k IR database. Which should give you 6.5mb of usable memory. Which is just as well, as the usable screen area is bigger.

According to Marantz UK.

The whole entire LCD screen can be edited in the software.
I guess we will have to wait until the software is out to find out just what that means.

I hope it means that whole thing can be edited as that would be cool
