Hi , I have programed my left & right hardkeys to operate my cinema room lights whilst in "home" and it works great,
my problem is if I call the buttons on off that shows up but if I use the little light symbols nothing is there just blank , the buttons work either way ?
any ideas please

If you search the forums you'll find it's a known issue. I'm not sure that there is going to be a fix for it. It's also in a news article at :- [Link: remotecentral.com]

This does not sound like the stuffed up fonts problem.
What is likely is that you are using the wrong size for the font. The symbols are not available at all sizes. They will show up in ProntoEdit but not on your Pronto.

OK, this is a known issue. The size that is used is one of the sizes that do not support the symbols. You can only use the standard characters.

I hear this will be corrected on the next firmware release.

I hope they fix it by making the symbols available on all font sizes.

...Which is what I believe they've done.

The way I got around this issue is purely accidental.
PE v1.05 did allow symbols on the hard buttons for me.
I just purchased a TS2000 to replace the TSU1000 that I sold with my house and used my old ccf in the TSU2000. If I don't mess with the hard buttons in PE v2.0, the symbols remain. If I edit them in v2.0, they will disappear.
What I would suggest is this, use v1.05 to label the hard buttons and use v2.0 to edit everything else.
This is what I do and it seems to work for me.

Gustav: The ProntoPro is a different story since the font size used for the far right/left hard buttons simply doesn't support fonts.

Sorry about that, I missed that this message thread concerned the ProntoPro. Please ignore my previous reply as it does not pertain to the subject at hand.
