I just finished a review of the IEC leather case. Keep in mind I'm not a professional, I don't do this for a living or anything and I have no ulterior motives other than to share info.

In other words, don't yell at me, dammit. :)

/pre-emptive strike against any potential IEC-vangelists. :)

I agree completely with everything you have said except your conclusion.

Despite the issues of the fit (and mine fits exactly the same way as in your pics,) I don't find it impedes the functionality in any way, and the trade-off in protection from greasy fingers and table-sliding is worth it.

Final thought: I still prefer the high tech look of the bare Pronto to the leather cover, but, again, the trade-off makes it worth it.

"Of course, that's just my opinion I could be wrong." [You Dennis Miller fans will recognize that one.]

Hi Jim...

KUDOS! You certainly put in a lot of work on that. Great job. Just one comment, and it could be my monitor, but the text is cut-off by the gray background depending on the line breaks.

I don't know if that would be an easy fix for you or not. If not, it is not invasive to reading the well detailed and complete review.

I have not received my case yet, so I cannot comment on the content.

Interesting review. I'm glad you put it together. My results don't match yours in entirety, but I think some good points were made, and it definitely helps a potential buyer to at least ask a few questions before buying.

Thanks!

My opinion? All in all, still a good buy!

I'm not seeing the problem that you are, Bruce.

Also, I'm going to have to agree with Greg.

For those of you that don't know, this is the "normal" Greg and Joel relationship:

Hi there, Joel...

Your post caused me to look further since I know you know your "stuff" and I found you are correct in that you won't see it for any View/Text Size/Medium or larger in IE.

I have a 21" monitor, so I use a text size of small at 1024x768 (16-bit High Color 8Meg Card) and that is where the "problem" kicks in. However, it is one of those "un-problem" problems

Joel: I think you sell us short. We've moved quite a bit from that "era". If you get an emoticon with two guys with less angry faces, I would tend to agree at that point. But certainly the "frequency of rhetoric exhange" rate would stay the same! lol :-)

P.S. Check out the meaning of the word rhetoric on the Dictionary.com site.

Implications that rhetoric is good, bad, or indifferent. Now THAT'S the English language for you! ONE WORD says it ALL! lol ;-)

How's this?

See what I mean? We can't even agree on the degree of our disagreement. We wouldn't ever want to lose that "edge", though. Kinda reaffirms that you can disagree in these times without losing sight of basic areas of agreement. I haven't exactly figured out what that is, though, just yet.

"Notice who he listens to, Greg??"

Having recently immigrated here from that country Joel called "thin skin land" and not wanting to come between you two "lovebirds" note that I was in the middle of replying when the other posts were posted.

This is notwithstanding the fact that I am still impressed with how fast Joel learned a ton of new "stuff" _and_ put it to fun use for the entertainment of us all!
