It is in current editions of a few mags still, a hi fi shop around the corner from them claimed that Richer didnt have stock- but that could just be because he was quoting more.

I didnt realise they were 2Mb models, I bought my 1Mb from LetsAutomate.com for around &150 inc VAT and was happy with their service and tech support when I got a lockup.

LA also thought most people didnt need the 2Mb model- it was mainly useful for people storing track listings for 200/300 disc CD/DVD changers. The transfer speed is slow enough to the Pronto as it is, I wouldnt like to work with a larger CCF.

You think I didn't try that ? Buying a remote for 200 quid is a stupid thing to do but going to New-Zealand for 3 weeks and payinf over 3 grand is OK !!!.

What can I do, I love her.

Hi folks,

I'm interested in purchasing a pronto but am a
little confused by the different models, 1mb or
2mb memory, silver + gold cases.
The majority of stores i've been to haven't got
a clue about the differences if any.

Could somone tell me which one i should be opting
for, how much i should really pay for it and good
places to buy from?

Or should i wait and buy the new colour screen
one?

If i buy one from the USA will it work in the
uk? (obviously have to use a power converter for
the battery charger).

and how come the us got the colour screen one,
when I have a philips head office 10 miles up
the road from my house who refuse to admit the
colour screen exists!!
(obviously sitting on large stocks of older versions
i assume).

Thanks for you help folks.
