I am hoping that someone can guide me to a source for discrete codes for the Motorola DCT-2000 cable box. Thanks.

I've got the DCT 2224. I've got codes that work with it, but not discretes. Jon Tashman was looking for them too, and I don't know if he ever got them, but you could look up his profile and e-mail him as to whether he got them.
Meanwhile, if you only need discretes, I can't help you. If you need other parts of that device, let me know and I'll e-mail them to you. Can't do it until tonight, though.

I leave mine on all the time. Never found any discrete codes.

Thanks. I have codes for all the functions on the DCT-2000 cable box remote, most were in the Pronto's library, but would like to have the control for on and off as well. I will dig a little deeper and live with the work around that I have, which requires toggeling power when I lose sync on rare occasions.

There are no discrete codes for the DCT-2000 cable box. The only workaround is like others have mentioned - leave it on all the time. That's what I do and it seems to work okay.
