Does your ProntoProEdit say "[developer version]"? And about that upgrade?

Specifically, it is called:

"ProntoEdit [developer version] untitled"

That's what it read on the program from the cd-rom. Then, yesterday, when I ran into one of the errors which says you can't download a corrupted file, but then it downloads anyway, I took the 3.3 version off this site.

BEFORE I loaded that version, however, I totally uninstalled the ProntoPro Edit software I'd previously installed. When I downloaded the 3.3 version, it prompted me to do the thing on the back of the ProntoPro to update its firmware (remove the back, press the reset button), but I thought I was getting a new software version as well. I'm not sure that I did.

Somehow, the 3.3 version I installed still says the same thing ("[developer version]") although the firmware update appears to have successfully completed. To make it more confusing, the few CCF files I'd created off the cd rom program we're all still there on the newly downloaded 3.3, just like a ghost movie.

So:

What's the name of the software anyway?

Did I get the new software, or just the firmware upgrade?

Thanks!

Nick

When running ProntoEdit, select "Help" from the Menu bar and click on "About ProntoEdit...". It will tell you the version you are running. And yes, the menu bar says "ProntoEdit{developer version}- Untitled". Hope this helps.. Skip.

"Developer Mode" is enabled by default with ProntoProEdit. Too much stuff is missing without it.
