I agree that this thread should be killed ASAP. However, there are some technical details that, I think, need to be revealed.
1. Bidder e-mail addresses at E-bay are never revealed to anyone. You can send an e-mail to an E-bay member (buyer or seller) but the destination address is never revealed and all e-mail goes through the E-bay e-mail servers. E-bay sets the "reply-to" address to be the senders e-mail address contained in their user profile (all password protected).
2. Unless the e-mail account servers are "hacked", these e-mail address' cannot be obtained.
The "evidence" that Marcus presents (specifically the e-mail header information) does not contain any indication that these e-mails were sent through the e-bay e-mail system as necessitated by e-bay to make contact with bidders and sellers.
So, how would a vendor get Marcus' e-mail address? Who knows. All I can say is that what is being alleged would be extremely difficult to do considering the mechanisms in place at e-bay.
There is no "smoking gun" here. Who is this guy?
