Help!!!! I have a new TSU 2000 and as of now it will only accept 5 or 6 commamds while the screen is on. I have to wait foe the screen to go off and "wake it up" for it to take any more commands (5 or 6) again. This is killing me ...I can't program a macro longer than 4 commands or it won't work!!
Any Ideas??????? Thanks, Curt

Can you provide some more detail. What sort of commands are you putting in your macro?

Well based on this, i think you should make sure you have your backup on the comp, and take out the batteries for a good 4 hours, then reload it again. Also try other PE programs like RAVedit.
These are just ideas but i think we need a little more info on wat you are trying to say

Peter, I have "learned the necessary codes for turning on the TV, Receiver, DVD, Selecting the Source and Setting the TV input. I have put those codes into two simple macros to either set everything for cable viewing or to set everything for DVD viewing! I spoke with Philips customer care and they had me download and install the most current firmware revision (which I already had) and to try the default ccf that comes with pronto edit! I did as requested and still had the same problem...even with the default ccf. I have tried using only one panel, I have tried using all panels, It doesn't matter which soft buttons I use I still can only get the pronto to send 5 or 6 commands before it stops sending. It works again if I let the screen go off and then "wake it up". I have tried new batteries, the rechargeable is fully charged also. I know this sounds strange, but I am hoping one of the "guru's" can help me!!!
Frustrated!!!!! Curt

What do you mean by: "It works again if I let the screen go off and then "wake it up"."
Are you saying the whole macro then executes?
How do you know that "it stops sending"?
You could be seeing a problem that some people have. Sometimes there can be a very long window after a device has been turned on before it will respond to any commands. This is often true with TVs. You may have to rearrange the order of your commands and maybe put some long delays in there.

Try reverting and starting over with download to pronto , also make sure it has the latest firmware.

"It works again if I let the screen go off and then "wake it up." Peter:
Here's an example: TV control: 1 Turn on TV (that's one button push, Pronto beeps, little icon shows sending signal,Tv comes on)
Cablebox control: 2 Enter channel digit (that's two button pushes, Pronto beeps, little icon shows sending signal, entered channel number appears)
3 Enter next channel digit.....same as above
4 Enter next channel digit.....(NO beep this time, channel digit does not appear, icon still shoes sending signal, nothing happens!!!
I now try to control other components such as the Receiver...NO beep, icon shows sending signal, nothing happens. This is the case for all equipment...even the stuff that had worked the first time!!!
Now if I let the pronto sit until the LCD screen goes off ( yes I have changed the time it stays on to anything from 5 to 60 seconds, of course 60 sec. means I have to wait longer for it to go off before I can turn it back on) I then touch the screen to turn it back on. It will now beep and send a signal when I push one of the buttons!!!
"Are you saying the whole macro then executes?"
NO..Only part of it will and yes all of the codes that are in the macro are valid (they work alone, but only if I use less than 5 or 6 anytime the screen is on...let it go off and turn it back on and the rest of them work if there are less then 5 or 6 transmissiions from the pronto)
"You could be seeing a problem that some people have. Sometimes there can be a very long window after a device has been turned on before it will respond to any commands. This is often true with TVs. You may have to rearrange the order of your commands and maybe put some long delays in there."
Not true, since NO equipment works at all until the screen on the pronto goes off and then comes back on. Remember the pronto works whenever I hear it beep!! Mine won't work nor does it beep after 5 or 6 commands no matter what piece of equipment I am trying to control...
Kabster says: Try reverting and starting over with download to pronto , also make sure it has the latest firmware.
I have. In my last post I brought that up! I have reverted the Pronto to the out of the box config to no avail...same problem happens...5 or 6 commands then no beep and no change on any equipment at all until LCD screen goes off and then it is turned back on when it touched again. Then 5 or 6 good commands again then nothing.
Sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to try to cover it all! I hope this clears it up
Thanks!!!!!

I also left the batteries out for about 12 hours last night. I put them back in this morning and (S.S.D.D) it's still doing it!!!!!!

You might need to load a fresh copy of the firmware. There is a special program you can download from here to do that. Do NOT use Tools/Update in ProntoEdit.
Also, you had me confused before when you mentioned macros. From what you describe, you are not using macros but pushing buttons one at a time.

What you are describing doesn't make sense to me. If you are indeed describing a macro action, then it sounds like the macro is hanging at some point and not executing further. I agree with Peter that it sounds like there is a problem with your macro in either the order, or the need for a delay. If the macro is still trying to execute, that would explain why nothing else will work, because the macro must complete running first. I would try to change the macro around and see if that helps.
Where is your macro located? Is it a button macro, or in the macro section of the Pronto?
If you want to e-mail me your CCF, I'll take a look and see if I can come up with any suggestions.

All,
Thanks for the help!!
I took the pronto back to where I bought it. The salesman said he has never seen one do what mine was doing...he couldn't get it to work either!!!!
The new one I brought home works fine with the exact same file I was trying to use with the old one!!!
I guess I was the lucky one to find a defective unit!!!

Sometimes we're too smart for our own good.
That's a fix I never thought of. (Why, it's so crazy, it might just work!)
NAAAAH! Couldn't be the unit!!!
You actually bought it from a live person?? What a unique concept!
