The Arcam FMJ T21 tuner has double function buttons for presets, e.g. 1-9, 2-10, 3-11 etc. If you press the button briefly, it will select station 1, 2 or 3, if you press and hold the button down, it will select station 9, 10 or 11. I have been able to learn codes for the short version of a button press (selecting 1, 2, 3 etc.) but when i learn the long button press, it recognises the RC5 code (RC5 17 1, 17 2, 17 3, etc) and the codes will work both for the short press (1,2,3) and the long press (9,10,11). However, I am unable to teach it a long button press to access station 9,10 and 11 directly. I tried to execute the code twice (using rc5 code) but that does not seem to have an effect. Any ideas on how to tackle this problem?

So you're looking for direct, non-hold access to the upper presets? This depends. Chances are the RC5 code is NOT changing -- it's just the tuner sensing it for a longer period of time and doing something different. Similar to VCRs with multiple fast-forward operations. Since the Pronto doesn't allow you to specify how long a macro should send a code for, there's no way to duplicate your finger in this case. You can try [Link: remotecentral.com] to see if it might work (you'll have to do it with a "dirty", non-RC5-sensed code).

Daniel, thanks for that, i will give it a try. I have managed to learn the first part of the code, before it actually recognizes the code as an RC5 so far.
