I will get my Pronto in the next day or so but have built a .ccf file based upon the 1.05 software and emulator.
Noticed a couple of threads that said I could use the ProntoEdit V2.0 with my RU890 so have downloaded it - I noticed that the ir data base is bigger and it will search out for the correct device number.
Does this also work with the RU890 if I used the Version 2.0 software and loaded the default.ccf into my RU890.
Be patient with me as I have not actually got the unit yet but as most of my equipment is Sony this search facility would be great.

The inbuilt database is not bigger as it is unique to the Pronto 2000.
You are better off using 1.05 with your 890, as V2 has some bugs and offers no real new features.

I have a RU890 and have both versions of prontoedit installed. Some CCF files you download won't open in 1.05 so I open them in 2.0 and save then in the old format.
