tried to cut an paste like in the old version. nothing happens. What is going on. Do I need now two versions of the soft ware as the new won't work with the old prontos?

I am new to Pronto so I may have no clue what you are talking about, but I think you are reffering to the hex codes. I believe the software needs to have "developer mode" enabled which cna be done in the pronto.ini file I believe. It is in the FAQ.
If you are talking about straight cut and paste, it works fine for me.
