First, Yes I have read the FAQ on this subject and unfortunatly I didn't find it very useful.

I am using a Pronto TSU2000 with a Sys V4.04 and and App V5.0 (15% free memory showing). This is a CCF that I updated yesterday and entered my Pronto without a problem. Now when I went to open the CCF file in ProntoEdit it came up with File is Not a Valid Pronto Configuration. OK, I thought, I screwed something up when my computer froze on me yesterday. No problem, I'll just up load the file that my Pronto is currently using into Pronto Edit and save it under a different name. NOPE! Same error message appears. Weird thing is that the current file works perfectly on my remote. Can I fix this or do I have to revert to a file that I backed up 3 revisions ago?

Alexis: Have you been playing with other editing SW (RAVedit, RC5000Edit or PPE)mabe you saved the file using one of them, that would explain that it is not valid.

What editing SW do you have on your PC, Is there more then PE V2

OK so get this: I turned my computer off and rebooted. Tried to open the CCF file saved on Pronto Edit and got the same error message. Then I tried to upload from the Pronto and on the second try I got everything back. Go figure. Let mesave this before something else goes wrong. Thanks again Anthony.

Sounds like a DLL used by ProntoEdit became corrupted. This resulted in your CCF becoming corrupt. Rebooting then taking a fresh copy from your Pronto was the fix.

I always take a copy of my CCF before making any changes. Not so much because I am worried about corruptions, but more that I might accidentally stuff up the changes.
