I am trying to program a macro that will turn on my lights (this is done) and dim them(this is the problem). Then I want to program another macro that will bring lights to full illumination. Can this be done with my Pronto?

I have already tried entering the "dim" or "Bright" command many times in a row but this does not work.

Yes, This Macro can be done. Try placing a short delay (0.2 should be good) between the Dim Commands. This give the Pronto a short break to send the command.
