I am NEW at this computer scene and am somewhat
green about how to go about installing the
Pronto Edit 2.0. It keeps coming up "this file
is not the correct size or is corrupt and
unusable". Help ! what do I do ?

You should probably delete the file you have and download it again. It sounds like there was a problem during the download and it screwed up the file. The CRC(cyclic redundancy count) is incorrect is why you are getting that message.
