Does any-one have any details about the distance that the RF module can transmit the IR signals? Most of the information I have found seems to point to it only being able to control the standard plug-in IR modules that are designed to sit near the IR receiver port on the equipment, not much use when the equipment is spread all over a large room. In my case I'd need to put the unit high on an opposite wall and fill the room with IR signals in order to hit everything.

We'll have to wait and see, but I know the hard wired OptiLink systems we use for IR can be run quite a distance (to a stick on emitter).

Anybody know if the Pro will issue both IR for controlling visible gear like TV's and RF for equipment behind solid doors simultaneously?...

Barry, yes. Just play with ProntoPro Edit and you will see how each device is set up individually for RF or IR.

Ahhhh.... I'd taken a quick look and opened HOME SYSTEM PROPERTIES - noticed the IR/RF setup said it would "influence the settings" for all devices.

Thanks for the tip - just opened DEVICE PROPERTIES and found the selection tab for IR or the 16 RF extenders.
