In going over the Unofficial FAQ (ver. 1.07f), I found section B2-03 which deals with copying button codes. The problem is that the section seems to deal with software other than the ProntoEdit ver. 2.0 that I am using. I have no problem finnding the IR code and copying it, but from there it goes down hill fast. I cannot find a "RC5/6" button to press and if I open up the code entry section on a previously defined button, I cannot paste to it. It is grayed out and doesn't accept input. WHat am I missing.

Problem two. I used a lot of aliases to ccfs created by others to work around the first problem until I get some help. Now, whenever I select the "TV" device, the TV turns off. It is as if there is a macro tied to the gadget con itself. Is this possible? Where do I look to find it?

Thanks in Advance.

Npet's response got me wondering, because I was pretty thorough when I looked through the FAQ. The reason I missed it was because Andrea Whitlock's version (which I wasn't looking at) has an addendum to it that covers 2.0. The version by Tom Held is based on a slightly older version and doesn not. Beware.
