What kind of things can you do by modifying the Pronto.ini file? I have an RC5000.

Am I correct that you can't do multiple page flips with scroll down or up?

I wanted to be able to scroll down five pages on my cd changer and be able to see it scroll five times. Now I simply jump directly to the proper page, but it just replaces current page with the new page (no scroll effect).

When I wrote the macro:

Scroll down
Scroll down
Scroll down
Scroll down
Scroll down

It scrolled down one page only.

You probably need to put a delay between each 'Scroll Down'. Your CD CHanger is reading all of the actions as one action. By puting a delay between each one, it allows the changer to read each command in full (Start, middle and end of each code).

Click on "Be sure to read the Pronto/RC5000 FAQ!" at the bottom of this page and then find:

B7−03 How can I enter multiple digits on a single button, say for a favorite channel icon?

Pronto.ini modifications can best be accomplished by downloading Daniel's Pronto.ini Workshop:

CCF Files >

Pronto.ini Workshop v1.15

yeah, scroll down and up aren't on the pronto either? They're page flips, not IR commands. I should have been more clear, I see now. I should have said 'on my cd changer device pages'. You know rather than scrolling a page at a time, jump down 50 cds (on your lists) or 5 pages. You could simply cut and paste a button that scrolls up or down 5 pages consecutively on every page. What I did was on page one, a jump down to page 6 and a jump up to page 26; then on page 2 a jump from 2 up to 27 and a jump down to 7; 3 to 28 and 8, and so on, but I use actual scroll bars for one page at a time. These 'roll' up and down where the direct five page jumps just wipe and refill -- looks cloogy and doesn't give you the sense of scrolling up or down through a large continuous list of titles -- like a long web page..

Sorry to write a book..

Still my initial question: Am I correct that you CAN'T do MULTIPLE page flips with scroll down or up within a single macro.

ie : If I say jump to DSS menu then JUMP to CD Transport it jumps and them jumps again, but if my macro says "scroll down, scroll down, scroll down" it scrolls down only one page. Anybody else notice this or know a fix? Remember the page "rolls up" when you scroll down, but if you jump directly to the page by name, it just wipes and refills.

Steve: can you try this:

Jump to panel X
Jump scroll down

I am wondering if scroll down works from current panel or from the original panel

P.S. you cannoot scroll to hidden panels.
