Hi there...

I'm having a problem with my Cyberhome 512. Or more specifically, with the remote control. It clashes with my stereo. For example, ENTER on the DVD remote is the same as OFF on my stereo.

However, OFF on my stereo remote (from either the native remote or the Pronto) doesn't do anything to the DVD.

Do any of you have any idea if there's some way I could program the Pronto to get around this? I don't mind if I have to program the frequency of each button. I just want to avoid having my stereo popping on and off each time I select something on the DVD!

Any help you could give would be GREATLY appreciated. I'll send a choccy biscuit to anyone who can help :-)

all equipment have some leeway on the codes they understand. I would open both codes and try modifying them a bit (the frequency first and the times second) until it works on one and not the other (you are half way there since it works well one way but not the other). You can find a full description of the Pronto's hex by downloading this document [Link: remotecentral.com]
good luck
