My wife says ENUF! I have a Pronto and have given up trying to program it. My wife is tired of the five remotes we have to use. I would be happy to hire someone in the SF area to program our Pronto. Unfortunately our tech savy son is out of the nest. Respond by email please.

Hey Larry!
Programming and tweaking the Pronto makes up 99% of the fun. The actual use as a remote is insignificant :)
ProntoEdit is a very simple kids program once you get a grasp of it. The best way to get started is to download some CCF files and open them in the Pronto Emulator. Click on the buttons, devices, macro pages and see how they respond. Double click on the buttons and look at the codes, see how the buttons are cleverly aliased to "code pages" and how multiple buttons are stacked up with delays to make chain macros.
At first none would make much sense. Don't worry. As you walk yourself through the hundreds of examples available for download, you will begin to see a pattern and you will see the connection.
The power of the Pronto lies in its infinite flexibility through ProntoEdit. It is very addictive once you get comfortable with it.

Oh! and did I mention that if you took the time to program the Pronto yourself, your wife will think you are a genius and have a newfound respect for you - you make have a hard time trying to pry away the Pronto from her fingers.
