I was just reading an article by Thomas J. Norton,
editor of Stereophile Guide to Home Theater magazine,
on the June 2001 issue.

He has an extensive review of the Marantz SR-14EX
AV receiver on page 82. This receiver ships with
the Marantz RC5000i remote. He says "the RC5000i
is easily the best small touchscreen remote I've
seen".

He adds "the possible uses of the RC5000i remote are
so varied that one could devise a whole new sport
providing custom applications for it. In fact, it's
already been done - go to www.RemoteCentral.com
and look over the entries for the Philips Pronto -
essentially the same device as the Marantz RC5000i.
(We plan a full review of the Philips Pronto for
a future issue.)"

Hmm...I think the excitement over the Pronto has
reached a critical mass. Could anyone check on
the statistics to see if it gets the honor for
the most versatile remote ever designed in its
price class?

Keep up your great efforts Daniel! The screen shot
on page 88 shows your graphics.

I'm going to have to grab that issue for sure. :-)
