If you purchased the Keyspan Serial to USB adapter to use your Pronto with your USB port instead of the serial port here is what you need to do.

1. Download the beta Keyspan software from www.keyspan.com
2. Disable the COM1 port on your PC
3. Install the software
4. Install the adapter. It should load to COM3 but it wont work with ProntoEdit 2.0
5. Run Device Manager and under the Ports Section change the COM Port of the Keyspan adapter to COM1
6. Run REGEDIT (BE CAREFUL HERE!)
7. The first entry to edit will be under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Class\KcomPort Change the "0" key REG_DWORD from "3" to "1"
9. The second entry is under
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Keyspan\USA19W\KcomPortAssociations
The next key under KcomPortAssociations is "3" rename it to "1"
10. Reboot the machine
11. Run Keyspan USB Serial Adapter Assistant and test.
If you did everything properly the test will be successful and you can use ProntoEdit 2.0 with USB.

P.S. If you have a discrete code for Toshiba 56H80 Projection TV I would appreciate it.
