I'm looking for the "Video Select" code for my 3801. it's the button on the front of the Receiver that when pressed causes the unit to swith the video, but not swith the audio. For example, play a CD, then press the Video Select until the TV is displayed. This way I can listen to music while watch the game. It tells about this feature in the manual but does not mention it on the remote. i use this feature to select between my playstation 2 and dvd player, both hooked up to the 3801 via component cables. thanks for your time

DANNY, i used your ir code and it works perfect, thanks! however, in order for it to be useful for what i want to do i believe i need a discrete code for the "tv/dbs" toggle and a seperate one for the "dvd" toggle. you see, i have i wanted to put it in a macro of sorts where it would power on my receiver, switch my tv to the correct video, then select the video switch for either the playstation 2 (which is in the "tv/dbs" labeled component input) or the dvd player (which is in the "dvd" labeled component input... does anybody know if this exhists?

Yeah that would be nice, but I'm pretty sure they don't exsist.

yeah, i think i'm going to break down an downgrade my playstation 2 connection to s-video instead of component so that i can enable macro commands to turn on and switch everything...as of now though, with the material available for the ps2 i cannot really see much of a difference between s-video and component. now, if i were to compare the two using dvds, that's a totally different story..big difference! and to think i spent nearly $70 to upgrade to the component connection :(

Well, I've got the Denon AVC-10SE amp, and it resets the steps for the Video Select whenever you select a discret input.
ie, Switch the amp to V.Aux, and when you press Video Select, the amp scrolls through DVD VDP TV/DBS VCR-1 VCR-2 V.AUX. If you selected TV/DBS first, the amp will still start at DVD.
If you first selected V.AUX, and then used the Audio Select Discret without first using the Video Select, the screens goes blank. This does not happen if you used the Video Select first.
So, safe in the knowledge that the amp always starts at DVD when using Video Slect, you can add delays to get to where you want.
ie, For my Amp, to watch the TV/DBS while listening to the Tuner, I would go
Amp-Tuner Delay 0.1 Amp-Video Select Delay 0.1 Amp-Video Select Delay 0.1 Amp-Video Select Delay 0.1
Works for me.
