I just bought a Laptop to use for programming Pronto's, but is has no serial jack, only USB. I have found a simple cable adapter for USB to serial for a HP product accessory. Will this work? If not what are my options?

Don't be surprised if it doesn't work. I recently purchased a Compaq laptop with Windows ME and no serial port. I also bought the Keyspan USA-19W adapter, and tried everything I could think of to make it work.I had no success. I ended up returning the Compaq for an HP that had a serial port, and it has worked fine. I truly hope you have better luck, though.
