I have been unable to find a comprehensive list of RC6 commands, and I would really like one. What I *have* found and used so far is a full list of RC5 groups and commands ([Link: gis.net]) and a list of RC6 commands specific to a DVD player ([Link: daisy-laser.com]). These work really well - with only a couple of minor changes - with my Loewe TV and DVD player.

My problem is that my VCR (Loewe ViewVision) seems - from what I can work out via the hex dump in RC5000Setup/ProntoEdit - to be talking RC6 rather than using the RC5 VCR codes, and I would *like* to enter the "real" codes into my remote, rather than stick with the learned versions of the codes that I have fr the VCR now.

Any help would be appreciated - either the general RC6 command set *or* the specific codes for a Loewe VCR.

Thanks,

ted.h.

If you are interested in RC6 codes for Philips TV's (in particular the 28PW9525) you should have a look at my site: [Link: home.hccnet.nl]

Thanks for that. Between your TV list and the DVD player RC6 ones (the second URL I posted above - the source site for this had gone away when I rechecked, but google has a copy cached if anyone is looking for it) I now have a pretty good list of RC6 allocated "commands".

If anyone knows more of the allocated "system identifiers" for RC6 (eg TV = 0, VCR = ?), I'll be getting pretty close to what I want. [aside: Maybe VCR is system "4" like it is in RC5, then I can just ensure I'm using the appropriate RC6 commands - which should be common across DVD and VCR - for the various things I want to do. I'll try it later just in case it's that easy...]
