I have just swaped my Nokia set top box for a nice shiny silver Pioneer box does anybody have discret on/off codes for the poineer or are they just the same plain vanilla electronics underneath.

Cheers for your help

Geoff,

Sorry, but I've no idea about whether or not the Pioneer box has any discret codes, but ...

How did you get to swap your old Nokia box for the Silver Pioneer one?

Was it through On-Digital, or should I not ask ;)

Cheers, Guy

Guy,

No it was perfectly legal, my subscription ran out and OnDigital wanted £99 for 12 months. As I only really watch MTV and Sky One I thought this a bit steep. So I did not renew my subscription and bought a new prepaid on offer via a Natwest offer at £69.00 if you look arround I sure it is cheeper else where.

You could try some of the discret codes in [Link: remotecentral.com]. If your system isn't listed you may be able to tweak another code to suit. They look fairly similar across devices to me.

Geoff,

I have the Pioneer box.
To turn OFF, I have button named OFF, and have 'learned' the STANDBY IR code.

To turn ON, I have button named ON, and have 'learned' the PROG No.1 IR code.

(Pressing the numbers turns the Ondig. box on!)

Hope this helps

Geoff,

Did you get to keep the first box, or did On-Digital come round and collect it from you?

The only reason I ask is that I'm currently subscribing monthly and have the Nokia box. Having managed to lay my hands on the Sony SkyDigi box, the nokia is the only bit of gear that does not have the standard Hi-Fi seperates footprint and should I find an on-digital box that is the right size, I will get it. Most likely on the pre-paid package which after 12 months, I would not renew. Hoping to keep it.

Cheers, Guy
