Does anyone know how to turn a regular power to discrete on and off. I had a wier brand name receiver and cannot find discrete codes on here. If anyone know please let me know.

Thanks.

You cannot make discrete codes, you can only discover them (they must exist on your system - even if they are not on the remote)

All IR code sets (all the commands given by the remote) have a patern, if you can find the poatern, you can create all the posdsible codes and then see if your device has any code that is not on the remote

1) in the file section there is a document that explains how the Pronto stores IR

2) try some of the IR utilities, if it recognizes the patern, you can use it to build all the possible codes

3) look at all your IR codes, can you recognize the patern? (it helps to simplyfy the code, by replacing stuff - 0010 by "A" or something like that). then recreate every possible command, and test them out.
