OK Pronto experts: I know I could get cheaper on the net, but I have two options from a local dealer. 1) brand new Pronto 1000, $215, or, 2) newer Pronto 2000, $325. I prefer the original black color to the new silver, but what about functionality? I know about the extra meg for the internal database, but other than that, am I better saving the bucks and getting the 1000, or would I be stupid not to spring for the 2000.
Thanks Much

The internal database is of little use to most people.
The extra memory is quite useful.
It comes down to the money.
Personally, I would pay more knowing I had the current model - but whether that is worth $110? Remember that they stopped making the 1000 6 months ago.

the differences you mentioned are the only ones, the TS1000 has a good amount of memory (and is probably sufficient), if a) you don't have (or getting) a mega CD/DVD player b) You will not add fun stuff (games, phone directories ....) new features have tended to be added (by looking at the RC5000) to newer and older models, but at some point in time, there might be a physical limit (like the DB) that will force new features to exist on the newer remotes.
