I enjoy the back and forth going on here. Its entertaining. I also have to admit that occasionally I learn alot from your posts. I think you are an asset to the Pronto community but i DO understand the angst that alot of forum members feel toward you. I think the post elsewhere with the user discussing his feelings of your solicitation are well founded.

I also think that you of all people have to agree that this board has made you alot of $$$ in regards to sales at your wonderful prices. I believe that you can quiet the complaining masses by standing behind your words and SUPPORTING THIS SITE AND FORUM BY ACTUALLY BECOMING AN ADVERTISER ON HERE. BY FINANCIALLY SUPPORTING THIS BOARD I THINK YOU WOULD BE JUSTIFIED IN MANY OF YOUR SOLICITATINS.

Again, you are an asset but the board is making you money.... You have to admit that you have a vested interest in most of your postings as the rest of us are here for none other than education and info.

Who cares if it's making him money. What about those that put a link to their site at the end of every one of their posts? Aren't they benefiting from this board also when one of us goes there and buys one of their products? Why doesn’t anyone go after them? Yes I bought my Pronto from Bruce and would recommend anyone that’s in the market, to do the same.

Bruce, if it came off otherwise, I apologize. You ARE good for the community here, I think you can do more for it as well bu supporting it with ads. You SHOULD advertise as I bet alot of people visiting this board in general wouldnt even consider investigating the Pronto due to the price after reading the reviews BUT if they saw your ads in places more readily available to the casual surfer...they would most DEFINITELY consider a Pronto.

Sorry to come back in a combative way. I also support Bruce, but I think we should stop the whole “He’s doing things wrong” type of mentality. Why keep bringing it up? Bruce has already stated his interest in advertising on this board. As far as I know he's still not heard back from anyone.

Surprise, I don't disagree with you. However, it has now been over 10 days I think since I sent more that one inquiry about the cost of a commercial advertisement and have not had one reply.

That inquiry contained my company name,my full name, and my contact numbers and asked for specifics relative to the actual auditing of both hit and sources of hits. That way my agency can make an informed decision.

As to what I would also agree have been really blantant posts with my links over the past couple of days, you will note that they are for the most part in direct response to the Nicole message and then the others that followed.

I got really ticked off AND extremely frustrated that I am not at liberty to post the truth as to the story behind why those posts have been put here in an attempt to discredit me. I don't know how many people just read the headline and more on, but I can tell you that with only one of 36 Pronto TSU2000's sold on eBay in a Dutch auction that closes in a few hours and at a price of $239.99, there was DEFINITELY an effect.

That is a "giveaway" price and yet to see only one bid, someone in the house of Nicole is right now gloating away.

AND PLEASE, I did NOT put that in this response to advertise. There is no link, but I needed a solid example as to what can happen just from a headline in this forum.

So, I, being human and concerned with my reputation got ballistic in the one way I knew how. Not by nasty unfounded accusations or coming on here under anonymous names with no email address attached, but by doing the very thing that Nicole & co. would hate... trying to sell more Prontos while "he" (????? I have no idea that I can confirm) continues to sell next to none. And yet even that has done me no good.

I am sorry that this has spilled into here. Truely I am, but look back over the past two weeks and there has been nothing like this from me.

I am also sorry that some of the forum members here are upset by me. It is a fight for survival and I just cannot be bullied or threatened personally into leaving eBay. (That's another whole story for a different time.)

So.. I risk the disfavor of some of the members and I for one really don't like being in that position, especially since I was the one that put myself in that position in the first place. Frankly, however, I am at a complete loss as to how to effectively deal with this.

Sure, the courts, but that takes time. Sure, I could say to a MrKlaatu, and others who are complaining in certain of the threads, how come you bother to read that particular sales oriented thread in the first place?, but that is not for me to judge and certainly not for me to complain about.

On the other side of this coin, as you so rightfully pointed out, I believe I have extended multiple helpful posts in addition to direct offers of help even inclusive of sending a free serial cable to (Skip???) including free delivery rather than see the fellow have to pay $8.00 + $10.00 shipping (I think that was the number) from Philips.

So, thank you for your enlightened contructive comments, I do take them for their face value and I will think about it. In the absence of any more fabricated, blatant unsigned attacks, consider it done.

(and I just typed this out without even proofreading it because it is very late here in the east so, I hope I don't have to eat a little crow tomarrow, but I would certainly be the first to yell "Mea Culpa" if I deserve it.)
