I have gone through all the steps to Import my own bitmap. I get the error not 1, 4 or 8 bits per pixel. Where can I resize my bitmap? What can I do?

Its not a resize problem. It sounds like a color depth problem. Reducethe number of colors to no more than 16 colors for each bitmap and try it again.

1 = B&W
4 = 16 colours
8 = 256 colours.
if you have more then 256 it cannot change it. For best result use your bmp editor to change it to 4 colours of gray.

Though ProntoEdit will convert a 256-color image to 4-colors, its method of dithering (smoothly shading the bitmap) is poor. Most bitmap editing programs will be able to produce a finished image that looks much better on the Pronto than ProntoEdit can.
