Hi folks. I remember reading something about Phillips denying warranty service for using Prontoedit software with the TSU2000. According to the FAQ, the current version of software that ships with the TSU2000 is at 2.0. The software that came on the disk is only 1.0.4... Is the 2.0 available for downloading? Will using the 1.0.4 void the warranty? It is weird that the CD would have an earlier version of the software and yet have the PDF manual for 2.0. Thanks for any help, These remotes are going to become the control hub for smart classroom equipment and I want to create my own interface for them.

The disc that comes with the TSU2000 is version 2.0 and should be used with the TSU2000. The earlier versions of 1.04 and 1.05 should never be used with the TSU2000. Are you sure that the disc that came with your unit is 1.04. What you need to do is open and look at the version and if it says 1.04 reinstall the disc but put it in seperate folder and name it something different like Pronto2000. This way when you open your program files there will be 2 different pronto edits. Then open the new one and see what the version is when you open it. I hope this makes sense and has helped.

Actually, it is 2.0 afterall. Though the splash screen showed 2.0 on boot up, I was confused because the file version as showed under properties of the application is 0.1.0.4. I thought that was the program version, but under the help menu, it shows version 2.0 so I guess that is what it is. Just my unfamiliarity with windoze, I guess. Thanks for the reply, now I won't be afraid to try downloading my configuration to the Pronto. This is quite a deep device. I am very impressed so far. One of the best things about though are all the knowledgeble users out there who are willing to share their knowledge through this and other forums. Imagine a remote control generating this level of a following...
