Hi,
Thanks for your help. In a nutshell, I've downloaded complete .ccf files and then installed them in my system. I've also downloaded my device files as well (sony xbr400, toshiba 6200 dvd and denon 4800). Problem is that when I go to use it, it doesn't work. Went through and had the remote "learn" from the actual component remotes and then uploaded to prontoedit. Then re-created all the macros/aliases but it still doesn't work.
Am I an idiot? All I have is a home screen with "watch a movie" and "watch tv" then the aliases to turn all the shit on to the right settings behind these buttons. This page jumps to the device control panels for my devices (that I downloded from this site).
Help. I'm stuck.
Thanks!!

You need to be more specific about "does not work." Are the aliases working correctly? Do the device-specific buttons and menus show up when you click the related icon in the home panel?

Actually after I uploaded the "learned" config when I went to use it, I pushed the button on the home panel and the screen fritzed-out (turned to garbage) and then turned off completely.
I had two buttons on the home page. Watch TV and Watch Movie. Watch tv was associated with all the aliases from the components (eg tv power, video 6, tuner power, etc). Could this be the prob? I have read the user guide and it seems like you can stack comments on a home page button (you aren't limited to the macro category).
Thanks again.

What remote, what version of ProntoEdit, and did you perchance download a file with incompatible features.

Hi Sam
Sounds like operator error to me :). I think you just don't have everything set up correctly. Kind of hard to tell what might be the problem from your descriptions. Start with the basics first. Get everything working correctly first without the macros. Also before using any aliases make sure the actual code works correctly. I started out very simple (only one component) and then worked my way up from there as I become more familiar with programming the Pronto. BTW have you read the FAQ? Lots of good info!
