I have 2 TS-1000 units with extensive programming. Am considering upgrading to the TSU2000. Will I have to reprogram from scratch or can I download my existing ProntEdit files? Other advantages/disadvantages of upgrading appreciated. Thanks.

This is an often asked question.

The answer is they are compatible but the file format has changed so you have to be careful gonig back from V2 to 1.05 of ProntoEdit.

Search for more information.

ProntoEdit v2.0 is compatible with TSU2000 and TS-1000 models (remember that the firmware is NOT) and files from all previous versions. Files from RC5000 Setup v2.x are not compatible.

Most files from ProntoEdit v2.0 cannot be loaded into ProntoEdit v1.05, but if you save them as "old format" they can.

Can you open a file created with 1.05 in V2.0 and modify it then save as "old format' and sucessfully download to a Tsu1000.

Thanks

Steve

Yes, but you could also download it to a 1000 from V2.
