Can some one help on the best way to reduce or increase the size of bitmap images (bmp files)? I have several image file programs that I use for enhancing and printing photographs (MS Picture It, Adobe, etc.). Can these be used or what do you recommnend?

Yep. Any of those will work. I use an old version of PaintShop Pro 4.1 it's easy to use and just powerful enough so I don't get myself in trouble....

They usually come out somewhat distorted when the size is changed, especially if making them bigger. Best is to start with a somewhet bigger image and then reduce it to the size you want.

Even shrinking less than 50% smaller can have strange results... but since the file ends up being converted to four colors for the Pronto, it's never much of a problem.
