Just wondering if anyone found out how to control garage doors or pool lighting equip. They both have remote controls, but I guess there not IR, and the pronto can't read them. Any ideas?

Garage door openers are generally RF, and most likely so are outdoor lighting controls (too much competition from other sources of IR and distance).

Pronto is strictly IR.

Use X10, then you could use an IR535 to interface between the Pronto (IR world) and X-10

The latest model number in the UK is now IR7243 - I've no idea where I got 535 from tho' we could have played a game of Mastermind (1 right, 1 right in wrong order, 1 wrong).
