Tim,
Read your own post, you're telling me what to do. Telling Anthony what to do is doing exactly what you are telling us not to do...Can you spell hypocritcal?
From your post above
"rather than try to tell people what to do. I would recommend you do the same."
My initial response to you was meant rather tounge-in-cheek, having a little fun with you.
I see your point, a waste of energy and unnecessary exchange, but as you said, it's my choice, even if you don't agree. I will defend your right to disagree with me and state so, just as I can disagree with you and state so. Below is a copy of my newest post to the "Please read this before...." thread. See, I was kinda kidding around, but now I'm gonna have to give you a ticket, please forward your license and registration ....
"Sorry, as I have offended Tim, I will explain that the above message is to help people who may be new get timley and accurate answers to their questions.
I will refrain from explaining that anyone about to post here should read the top post and follow the instructions.

Anthony,
Thank you for you splendid defense, the check is the mail :)
and my final question, Did anyone ever find out who did let the dogs out?

Anthony and Mason,
I've read your posts and see your point. I don't agree. I can't change your mind, you can't change mine. And since I don't care enough to try, I'm not going to play this game anymore.
And to tell you the truth Mason, your post looked a little too long. I read half and got bored, so I skipped the rest. It was directed to me, but I feel like it doesn't apply.
See how that works? I get much less irritated by avoiding issues I don't care about. What I spend on a Pronto I save on psychiatrist bills.
You're right about one thing Mason. Spelling never was my strong point.

"Guys"...
I have been doing a lot of thinking on this subject over the past week, and frankly, I am at a loss.
Having not heard back from whoever is responsible for handling Daniel Tonks's advertising and quoting rates and specs. BTW part of specs is whether the site has the ability to not just count hits, but where the hits are coming from which is very important in internet advertising in determing whether, if there may be a lack of sales, or less sales than seller feels they should have relative to the number of hits, something must be "adjusted" with respect to the offering, its pricing, or some other detail.
So, how do I, without being boldly commercial, which I can't be in the first place due to forum rules with respect to commercial posts, and I certainly honor that rule (in spite of come accusations, both anonymous and "signed", to the contrary), come to be able to let you folks know that I may be running a really hot Dutch Auction special like on this weekend at eBay???
I didn't put it that way to be tricky or to get attacked. The question is, at least to me, and I would hope to those of you looking for a Pronto and are on the edge or being able to afford one, important.
Where does a seller such as myself legally advertise directly to the community of the buyers of the product the seller is selling??
I qualify that statement because not doing what is called a "rifle shot" in marketing/advertising would be prohibitively expense. I would not want to have to pay for a larger audience than I need. Pricing would have to suffer.
So, I am "all ears" and humbly request no attacks on this. It's a question that needs an answer and this would seem to be the place to put both.
Thank you for understanding...

Velly intellesting......... but a bit craaaazy!!!
Amazing how many lengthy posts a person will write who "doesn't care!" If I didn't care, I'd do what the person who "doesn't care" says to do: Don't read it. And certainly don't reply to it.
ROFL ROFL ROFL
And as far as the "IMPORTANT: Please read..." thread that I started, I asked Mason to help keep it at the top, as does Anthony and others. It has demonstrably and unarguably curtailed the postings that did not include proper information and has resulted in a more informed user base.

Tim, you realized the purpose of that thread at the beginning of your post, and then called it stupid at the end? I'm so confused! ;-)
Oh well, seeing as how Tim isn't going to read this post anyway, I'll stop here.
I've got to go and move my thread to the top! ;-)

Greg,
I don't care about the initial issue. I don't care who posts what. The reason I'm posting these replies is that we're no longer dealing with the original issue. It's getting to the point where you're attacking my character. I do, in fact, care whether or not you understand what I'm saying or say my opinion is worthless. I don't care that you post it, and I don't care that you're trying to keep your post at the top. Maybe using the word "stupid" was out of line, because I know it has a purpose. But to me, that post is worthless. I feel like I don't fit into the category of people it was directed at. So, I don't read it. It's as simple as that. When you direct posts to me and attack me, of course I'm going to defend myself.
To recap, your thread is at the top. I don't care. Alpha2data posts messages here to sell his Prontos. I don't care. Alpha2data may or may not be posing as happy customers to sell more of his product. I don't care. I don't feel those posts are directed at me, and therefore they don't affect me. People post messages with my name on them and attack me, I do care. I will defend myself.
That said, I appreciate what you and your post has done to the Universal forum. I will continue to come here, but I really don't want to play these games with you guys. I was trying to agree to disagree in that last post of mine, and was trying to take a light-hearted approach to it. Sure, I was poking fun at Mason and Anthony, but it was in good faith. I never called anyone hypoctrical (to use Mason's spelling, which I can't be held responsible for), or craaaaazy (to use your spelling, which I can't be held responsible for), or rolled on the floor laughing (3 times, no less) at someone who has an opinion, or spent the last 3 paragraphs of any post making fun of someone for posting to a thread. I tried to keep this focused on the original issue and when it strayed too far, I tried to stop it. Unfortunately I had to result to this stupid post which doesn't apply to anyone who will read it. Wonderful. Look at what I've become.
